Our platform allows you to deny an entry so it will no longer appear on your public contest site for voting.
After you deny an entry, there is a clear, built-in proces to send an email to the entrant letting them know why their photo or entry information was denied. This email gives the entrant a one-time opportunity to update their photo or entry information for your review before it will reappear on the contest site for voting.

- Optional: Sending an email to the entrant so they can fix their entry

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Denying an entry does not automatically refund votes or entry fees. If you have denied an entry and need the votes or entry fee refunded, please contact us at hello@gogophotocontest.com with the entrant's name and email address. We will be happy to assist you with processing a refund, and ensure that our platform fees are refunded as well. |
How to Deny an Entry:
1. Log into the GGPC Admin: www.gogophotocontest.com/admin
2. Navigate to Entries at the top of the page:
3. The Contest Entries page loads. In the Participants dropdown, begin typing the name or email address of the participant to find the entry you wish to deny (or you can Control + F):
4. Once you have located the entry, click on the Deny button:
Then click Yes, deny:
5. The entry has been moved to the Denied section of the GGPC Admin and will no longer appear on your contest site for public voting/fundraising.

After you have denied an entry, you have two options: |
Optional: Sending an email to the entrant so they can fix their entry
After you've denied an entry, the next screen allows you to send an email to the entrant (via our platform) explaining why their entry was denied and allowing the entrant a one-time update:
The Allow update until field is automatically set to the end of your entry period. If your entry period has already ended, it will be set to the end of your voting period. You can customize this date, if needed.
The date and time entered in this box will be shared with the entrant.
Then, provide the reason the photo was denied (to be shared with the entrant):
Your provided reason will automatically appear within the Entry Denied email template on the page:
If everything looks good, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save & Send Email":
Here's what the sent email looks like, as received by the entrant:
Clicking "Fix Your Entry" takes the entrant to a page where they can edit their entry information or swap their photo.
After the entrant saves their entry, their status will be "pending approval" on their user dashboard until you (the Contest Administrator) have reviewed the entry:
You, as the Contest Administrator, will receive an email notification once the entrant has updated their entry. This notification allows you to review and approve the entry so that it will appear on your contest's public site:
Once you have approved the entry, the entrant will receive an email letting them know that their entry has been approved and now appears on the public contest site:
I just want to deny the entry; I don't want to give the entrant a chance to fix it
Ignore everything on the screen. Simply scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Do Not Allow Entry Update":
| ⚠️ If the votes or entry fee need to be refunded: Please contact us at hello@gogophotocontest.com with the entrant's name and email address. We will be happy to assist you with processing a refund, and ensure that our platform fees are refunded as well. |
