Setting Up Mass Emails
Our system automatically sends a number of customizable emails containing contest and participant information, but we do not currently offer the ability to send one-off marketing emails outside of these automated messages.
Many of our clients prefer to send contest communications through their own email systems, since their supporters already recognize and trust emails coming directly from their organization. This can also help with email deliverability.
To send additional emails to contest participants, we recommend using an email marketing service that supports bulk sends, such as SendGrid (Twilio), Constant Contact, or Mailchimp.
You can also use a standard email provider such as Gmail or Yahoo, but these services typically place limits on the number of messages you can send within a certain period. Gmail, for example, may temporarily restrict sending if you exceed its sending limits or send a large number of undeliverable messages. (source)
Finding Email Addresses for All Participants
1. Log into the GGPC Admin: www.gogophotocontest.com/admin
2. Navigate to Participants ➝ All Participants (under Reports):
3. The Participants (All) report loads, which contains the contact information for all of your contest participants, both those who entered AND those who voted. (Information has been blurred in this example for privacy)
Export this information via the EXPORT TO CSV button at the top of the page.
4. Use your spreadsheet software to copy the column of email addresses.
Finding Email Addresses for Entrants Only
1. Log into the GGPC Admin: www.gogophotocontest.com/admin
2. Navigate to Participants ➝ Entrants Only (under Reports):
