No. GoGo Photo Contest does not offer one free vote per day or any other form of free voting. If you're creating rules for a contest hosted on GoGo Photo Contest, please do not include a free daily vote or other free voting option, as this functionality is not available on our platform.
Why? Donate-to-vote fundraising is at the core of our platform. Every vote must be tied to a donation, with the default value set at $1.00 per vote.
We've intentionally kept all voting donation-based for several important reasons:
- Keeps the focus on fundraising: Once a free option exists, some people who would have donated $5 may simply cast a free vote instead.
- Keeps voting simple: Free daily voting requires additional rules and restrictions to determine who has already voted that day (typically through accounts, email addresses, cookies, IP addresses, or other methods). These can create confusion for participants and opportunities for duplicate voting.
- Reduces participant frustration and support issues: Free voting can lead to questions like, “Why can't I vote?” “When does my free vote reset?” “I used a different email address.” “Why can't my husband vote from our house?” or “Why didn't I receive my free vote?”

Keeps contest results aligned with fundraising: Free votes can significantly influence the outcome of a contest without contributing to the organization's fundraising goal.
For example, imagine a 30-day contest where one entrant has 100 highly engaged supporters who cast their free vote every day but never make a donation. That entrant could accumulate 3,000 votes without raising a single dollar. Meanwhile, another entrant could raise $2,500 for the organization and still finish behind them.
There are ways to address this with additional rules, such as weighting them differently, or excluding them from certain prizes. However, each exception adds another layer of complexity to what is otherwise a very simple concept: every vote represents a donation to the organization.
- Keeps other voting features straightforward: Free voting would also introduce additional rules around features such as vote promotions and the Vote Bank, making the voting process more complicated for both organizations and participants.
Ultimately, our platform's goal is to keep the relationship between fundraising and voting simple: supporters make a donation, their donation generates votes, and every vote helps support the organization running the contest.
